This data visualisation was developed in partnership NHS England (formerly Health Education England). The visualisation shows information from the Adult Social Care Workforce Data Set (ASC-WDS) for the mental health and learning disability and/or autism workforces split by Integrated Care Board (ICB) area. This should be useful to local planners across the health and social care systems.
New national information for 2024/25 has now been published in 'The size and structure of the adult social care sector and workforce in England, 2025' report. The report uses our updated methodology for calculating workforce estimates - data shown in this report, including trends, will no longer match and are not directly comparable.
