Overview
This London and South East Summit will showcase how partnerships and engagement has shaped service and workforce development to improve service delivery and have positive impact on people drawing on care and support.
What to expect
The summit will begin with an introductory session which sets the scene with good practice examples of partnerships that have had a positive impact on workforce development and service delivery. This will be followed by optional workshops and an afternoon interactive plenary which will explore the research of Martha Pudsey and the art of story telling in personalised care.
Participants will attend two out of three breakout sessions which will cover the following:
Session one - Surrey Heartlands ICB will illustrate how, in collaboration with local partners, it has designed a uniquely sustainable model which has created capacity to deliver affordable, high quality Oliver’s Training sufficient to meet the needs of health and care workforce in Surrey. The Care Talent Collective has been a cornerstone of this delivery.
Session two - A summary of the Care Certificate qualification and showcasing a delivery model. It will highlight how partnership working between employers and training providers in developing programmes can positively impact on the development of the workforce to deliver quality care services. This session will be led by Juanita Wilson of Coleman training.
Session three - A showcase of how the Frimley Activity Co-ordinators network has adopted a community of practice approach to support the workforce to deliver and evidence high quality, personalised care using peer learning and sharing of best practice.
Learning outcomes
Participants will:
- Gain an overview of the impact of working in collaboration.
- Develop an awareness of what good looks like to work in partnership to enhance workforce development.
- Develop tools and strategies to put into practice to deliver and evidence high quality personalised care.
